Commission/Committees

PARISH COMMISSIONS 

  

  • Catechetical Commission: This commission meets once a month to promote participation in the Ministry of Catechetics, to serve as a public relations source and to recommend policy regarding the religious education needs of the parish. 
  • Family Life Commission: This commission meets to plan and provide social activities and events to contribute to the family life of the parish.  
  • Liturgy Commission: This commission gathers monthly together in prayer to develop relevant themes for liturgies, which will aid our faith community in experiencing the richness and depth of the Eucharist. 

  

PARISH COMMITTEES 

  

  • Pro-life Committee:  This committee meets regularly.  Its purpose is to offer information on all aspects of this complex topic:  Catholic teaching, opportunities for involvement, education, support and more. 
  • Evangelization Committee: This committee meets to discuss ways in which we can better evangelize as a parish community thus inviting all people of Silverton to hear the message of salvation, that they may come to know the saving power of Jesus Christ.  
  • Vocations Committee: This committee meets as needed during the year. The purpose is to promote awareness of the need for vocations, foster the growth of vocations at St. Paul and to assist with resources for them.  
  • St. Paul Altar Society: This organization meets monthly to oversee the operations of the church interior such as decorating, flowers, cleaning, etc.
